I’m so thankful I didn’t end up with what I thought I wanted.

I think this is something we can all understand. We may not have at the time, but somewhere along the way our instincts kicked in and aided in our decision making.

Many of us long for the things we never had. Sometimes we search and search, oftentimes, in the wrong places and people. When this occurs, we may find ourselves settling because we convinced ourselves that this was the way things were SUPPOSED to be. This was the RIGHT way — the most ACCEPTABLE way, because society has a huge influence on many of us even when we don’t realize it.

I had to personally learn a numbingly tough lesson. I had to learn that we don’t always have to go in the direction that we’re made to believe is right. We can choose our own path, our own destiny, and that can give us a more fruitful and everlasting future of promise.

.

I was willing to settle for what I always knew wasn’t good for me. I was willing to shut myself off from the life I dreamed of and convince myself I could do it and be happy. I was wrong. I would’ve never been happy. I would’ve resented myself for not seeking what I TRULY wanted. I would’ve regretted it one hundred percent.

.

We gotta stop convincing ourselves of untruth and do unto ourselves the diligence of happiness. We owe it to ourselves to be happy. Times up on giving in to pleasing others at our own expense. You ARE worthy. You ARE good enough — for whatever it is that you seek.

.

I will no longer put myself on the back burner for anyone else if it costs me my joy and my peace. I will no longer settle for what I don’t feel is the BEST. I love myself entirely too much and I love you too. Seek deep inside your heart. It goes much further than the surface.

Pray that what you seek finds you and is seeking and praying for you too. 💓💝

STAY DETERMINED

Life will always catch us slipping but the true lesson lies in how we recover. We can shrink, we can destroy ourselves, or we can make the decision to become better. To become stronger. Sometimes I find myself doubting my dreams when I’m reflecting on my life. This is too easy to do, but I have found the understanding that you must TRAIN your mind to push out all doubt. You must REFRAIN from sowing those seeds. Throughout the good AND the bad, you must REMAIN determined. The end results are most definitely worth it. Love ya, stay up! ❤️❤️❤️
